Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource lifetime management in the AMDGPU user queue object handling code when mqd and firmware buffer objects are evicted. A local user can use user queues during buffer-object eviction to cause a denial of service.
