Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the iwlwifi MLD asynchronous notification handler when processing queued firmware statistics notifications after a firmware error during reconfiguration recovery. A local user can trigger the affected recovery sequence to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires active BSS and NAN connections and a recovery failure while restoring the NAN connection.
