Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to a heap-based out-of-bounds write in the RPC-over-RDMA server reply path in net/sunrpc/xprtrdma/svc_rdma_sendto.c when processing a crafted large NFS READ request with an empty Write list and no Reply chunk. A remote user can send a crafted RPC-over-RDMA request to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code.
