Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause widget setup failures to be reported as successful.
The vulnerability exists due to improper error handling in sof_ipc4_widget_setup_comp_src() and sof_ipc4_widget_setup_comp_asrc() when processing topology data with zero input or output formats. A local user can provide topology data with zero input or output formats to cause widget setup failures to be reported as successful.
