Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of local page mappings in the NTFS compressed I/O paths when processing compressed NTFS I/O. A local user can trigger compressed NTFS I/O involving highmem pages to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs when destination pages are highmem pages.
