Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose credentials.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of remote URLs in GitHub Desktop when processing a maliciously crafted remote URL. A local user can provide a maliciously crafted remote URL to disclose credentials.

User interaction is required.
