Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to allocation of resources without limits or throttling in the image pull handlers when recursively traversing crafted OCI image index descriptor graphs. A remote attacker can provide a crafted OCI image index with deeply nested or heavily fanned-out descriptors to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs during image pulling, before container execution.
