Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a use-after-free condition.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the ACPI platform-device creation code when obtaining the physical device associated with an ACPI parent device. A local user can cause a device reference to be used after the device has been freed to trigger a use-after-free condition.
