Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a resource leak.

The vulnerability exists due to improper release of a resource in netfs_unbuffered_write() when preparing an unbuffered netfs write whose subrequest I/O iterator has zero length. A local user can trigger such a write to cause a resource leak.
