Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the ksmbd TCP listener task handling when processing netdevice-down events. A local user can exploit a race between listener-thread termination and socket shutdown to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
