Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a nested domain to be set up with an unallocated host domain ID.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect conversion between numeric types in amd_iommu_alloc_domain_nested() when allocating a nested domain after host domain ID allocation fails. A local user can trigger nested domain allocation after host domain ID allocation fails to cause a nested domain to be set up with an unallocated host domain ID.
