Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to exhaust memory resources.
The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in the AMD IOMMU guest-address log buffer initialization when reinitializing GA log buffers during system resume. A local user can trigger repeated system resumes to exhaust memory resources.
The allocation occurs from a syscore resume callback while interrupts are disabled and non-boot CPUs are offline.
