Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a use-after-free condition.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the configfs directory removal and symlink target-resolution logic when resolving a configfs symlink target while its directory is being removed. A local user can race a symlink operation with removal of its target directory to trigger a use-after-free condition.
