Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to access freed memory.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization of function graph state in copy_process() when handling non-CLONE_VM forks and task_exec_state allocation fails. A local user can initiate a non-CLONE_VM fork to access freed memory.
