Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information, modify data, or cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the nfnetlink_cttimeout timeout hook handling when a timeout policy lookup races with module unload. A local user can trigger a timeout policy lookup during module unload to disclose sensitive information, modify data, or cause a denial of service.
