Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect free-section accounting in free_segment_range() when garbage collection migrates data from a truncated range. A local user can trigger garbage collection during range truncation to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires limited available filesystem space.
