Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an integer overflow in VDR metadata handling when reading metadata from a crafted VDR recording. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a crafted VDR recording to cause a denial of service.
