Improper input validation in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-98332
Published: October 7, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger kernel warnings.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of station peer type in the mac80211 TDLS code when handling TDLS operations. A local user can invoke TDLS operations targeting an access point station rather than a TDLS peer to trigger kernel warnings.
The warnings can occur when the access point station is removed, either immediately or later.
