Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper certificate validation. A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply a system image signed with a crafted certificate to an affected device, bypass the certificate validation and deploy a crafted system image.


How to mitigate CVE-2018-15387

Update to version 17.2.8 or 18.3.1.
