Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause the kernel to dereference freed memory.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in lbtf_free_adapter() in the libertas_tf wireless driver when freeing command buffers while the command timer callback is still running. A local user can cause adapter cleanup to overlap with an active command timer callback to cause the kernel to dereference freed memory.

The command_timer_fn callback accesses priv->cur_cmd->cmdbuf.
