Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges.
The vulnerability exists due to a time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in Windows Broadcast DVR User Service when the service is accessed locally. A local user can exploit the race condition to escalate privileges.
The privilege transition is from a low integrity level in a contained (sandboxed) execution environment to a medium integrity level.
