Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office - CVE-2026-70206

Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to read small portions of heap memory.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Word when the application is targeted over a network. A remote attacker can exploit the out-of-bounds read to read small portions of heap memory.

User interaction is required. The Preview Pane is not an attack vector.
