Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of array lengths used to calculate array indices in bson.RawArray.Validate when validating untrusted BSON arrays. A remote attacker can supply a crafted BSON array with a declared length of zero to cause a denial of service.

A four-byte payload consisting entirely of zero bytes triggers an index-out-of-range runtime panic.
