Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause SELinux to use uninitialized access-decision data.

The vulnerability exists due to use of an uninitialized stack variable in the SELinux avc_has_perm_noaudit() function when handling an empty requested permission set. A local user can trigger a permission check with an empty requested permission set to cause SELinux to use uninitialized access-decision data.

Callers pass the resulting decision to avc_audit(), and the inode hook also stores it in the per-task decision cache.
