Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a kernel warning.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the Xe DRM driver's page-fault queue worker when acknowledging stale page faults after VM teardown and device autosuspend. A local user can initiate VM teardown while page faults remain queued to trigger a kernel warning.

The warning occurs when guc_ct_send_locked() accesses an already-suspended device and the runtime power-management assertion fails.
