Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to leave RX overrun interrupts unacknowledged.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect interrupt acknowledgment bit selection in the Cortina Gemini Ethernet driver's gmac_irq() function when handling RX overrun interrupts. A local user can trigger RX overrun interrupt handling to leave RX overrun interrupts unacknowledged.

For GMAC0, the acknowledgment writes the GMAC1 overrun bit instead; for GMAC1, the shift leaves no bit set in the 32-bit register.
