Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash Apache Traffic Server and cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in Apache Traffic Server's net_write_io when a POST request is torn down through a half-close while a chunked origin response is reparsed from a reentrant write-ready callback.
