Uncontrolled Recursion in Apache bRPC - CVE-2026-54426
Published: October 23, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by crashing a bRPC Redis client process.
The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled recursion in Apache bRPC's Redis reply parser when processing nested RESP arrays without a depth limit. A remote attacker can return a deeply nested array reply from a malicious Redis server peer to exhaust the client process's stack and crash it.
