Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to potentially cause a denial of service through a kernel crash.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the Linux kernel ice driver's ice_dealloc_dynamic_port() function when cleaning up a dynamic port. A local privileged user can trigger the affected cleanup path, which reads dyn_port->vsi->idx after freeing the VSI to remove an entry from pf->dyn_ports, to potentially cause a denial of service through a kernel crash.
