Use-after-free in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-99035
Published: October 23, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to potentially cause a denial of service through a kernel crash.
The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the mtk-sd MMC host driver when driver unbinding overlaps with an active request timeout callback. A local privileged user can trigger this overlap to cause the callback to access freed host memory, potentially crashing the kernel.
