Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in the CoreStorage component of Apple macOS when processing input. A local user can supply crafted input to trigger memory corruption and escalate privileges on the system.
