Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in CoreStorage when processing input. A local user can supply crafted input that causes a write outside the intended memory boundaries to escalate privileges on the system.
