The vulnerability allows a local user to potentially interfere with intended Time Machine behavior.
The vulnerability exists due to improper state management in Time Machine when handling interactions with local applications. A local user can use a local application to exercise the state-handling weakness, potentially causing behavior inconsistent with the component's intended operation.
