Cross-site scripting in WordPress - #VU158600
Published: November 2, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote user to potentially execute arbitrary script in the context of the affected website or cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient restrictions on binding targets in WordPress Interactivity API bindings when resolving internal properties or inherited methods. A remote user can store crafted bindings targeting these properties or methods in post content as a Contributor or higher to interfere with binding processing, potentially resulting in stored cross-site scripting or a denial of service.
