CVE-ID: N/A
CWE-ID: CWE-400
Exploitation vector: Remote access
Exploit availability: No public exploit available

Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service by exhausting PHP worker resources.

The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled resource consumption in OpenEMR's lab-label PDF generation endpoint, interface/procedure_tools/libs/labs_ajax.php, when processing print_labels requests without an upper bound on the count parameter. A remote user can submit an excessive count to trigger repeated PDF page and barcode generation, consuming worker memory and CPU until resource or execution-time limits are reached; concurrent requests can exhaust the worker pool and disrupt other OpenEMR requests.
