Cross-site scripting in ZoneMinder - #VU158951
Published: November 3, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of a user viewing affected ZoneMinder pages.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient output escaping in the ZoneMinder Options pages and configuration rendering when displaying stored user-supplied values. A remote user can save a malicious value such as 70812';alert(document.cookie)//450sx0775 in a vulnerable parameter such as ZM_WEB_TITLE to execute JavaScript when a victim subsequently accesses an affected page.
