Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition or execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to stack-based buffer overflow in "dnsproxy.c". A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply a specially crafted response query string passed to the "name" variable, trigger memory corruption and cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
