Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to memory leaks in zend_register_functions(), specifically the section related to the new code. A remote attacker can trigger memory leaks to cause the service to crash.

Remediation

Update to version 7.3.0.
