Description

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when the Microsoft Server Message Block 2.0 (SMBv2) server handles certain requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted packet to a targeted SMBv2 server and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
