Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in StreamCalcIFDSize() function in JXRMeta.c file when processing JPEG-XR (JXR) image files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JPEG-XR (JXR) image file, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.How to mitigate CVE-2019-12212
