Exploitation vector: Remote access

Vendor: Zoho Corporation
Affected software:
ManageEngine Applications Manager

Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the 'haid' parameter to the '/auditLogAction.do' module. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

Example:

http://[host]/auditLogAction.do?method=getAuditDetailsForMonitorGroup&haid=100000446;SELECT+CASE+WHEN+(SELECT+1+FROM+pg_user+LIMIT+1)=1+THEN+PG_SLEEP(5)+ELSE+PG_SLEEP(0)+END;
