Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the "dname_concatenate()" function in "dname.c" file. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and crash the target application or execute arbitrary code on the target system.
