Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the vmxnet3 virtual network adapter. A local attacker can pass specially crafted data to the applicatoin, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and read privileged information contained in hypervisor memory from a virtual machine.
