The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause denial of service conditions on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in Netscape Portable Runtime API. A remote unauthenticated attacker can cause denial of service conditions by sending specially crafted data to trigger an integer overflow in 'io/prprf.c'.
