Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Integer signedness error in the amd64_set_ldt function in sys/amd64/amd64/sys_machdep.c in FreeBSD 9.3 before p39, 10.1 before p31, and 10.2 before p14. A remote attacker can use an i386_set_ldt system call to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
