Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that set a tracking preference within (1) mod/forum/deprecatedlib.php, (2) mod/forum/forum.js, (3) mod/forum/index.php, or (4) mod/forum/lib.
