Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing unknown vectors to (1) lib/openjp3d/opj_jp3d_compress.c, (2) bin/jp3d/convert.c, or (3) lib/openjp3d/event.c. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
