Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the SCSI implementation in QEMU when a SCSI controller has more than 256 attached devices. A local user can gain privileges via a small transfer buffer in a REPORT LUNS command.
