Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in Mathopd 1.4.x and 1.5.x before 1.5p7, when configured with the * construct for mass virtual hosting,. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a crafted Host header.
