Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in the ASDU message processing functionality. A remote attacker can send a specialy crafted request and cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on the target system.
